1. Introduction

Welcome to Sectionly ("we", "our", "us"). We specialize in providing high-converting, performance-optimized Online Store 2.0 liquid sections and quantity discount widgets directly inside your theme.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you install and use the Sectionly app in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

2. Information We Collect

To provide our services, install Liquid sections into your store's theme, and manage quantity discount rules, we collect and store only the minimal technical data required.

💡 Zero Customer PII: Sectionly does not collect, access, or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or purchase history of your customers. We never read customer checkout information.

Data we do collect includes:

  • Shop Metadata: Your Shopify shop domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com) and store name.
  • Theme Access: Shopify API access tokens to safely inject Liquid sections and bundle scripts into your Online Store 2.0 active theme.
  • App Configuration State: Records of which specific theme sections you have bookmarked, saved, or installed.
  • Subscription Data: Your active recurring subscription plan tier (Free, Starter, Growth, or All Access) and related transaction identifiers provided securely by Shopify's Billing API.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected store metadata exclusively to drive app features and deliver support:

  • Code Injection: To upload raw Liquid code files dynamically into your theme assets.
  • Section Management: To toggle the visibility of specific custom sections using native Shopify App Installation metafields.
  • Billing Authentication: To activate, process, or cancel subscriptions through Shopify's secure merchant payment API.
  • Support & Upgrades: To respond to your direct feature requests or customize sections according to your preferences.

4. Speed & Performance Guarantee

Unlike legacy page builder apps that load massive external JavaScript wrappers, Sectionly code is written as pure, native Liquid blocks.

Because of this architecture, our sections execute entirely on Shopify's lightning-fast servers before reaching the browser. Sectionly does not inject tracking pixels, analytical scripts, or external libraries that could degrade your PageSpeed scores or storefront conversions.

5. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

We comply strictly with European and global data protection guidelines. Even though we do not store customer personal data, we strictly respect all GDPR mandates:

  • Right of Erasure: Upon request, or automatically upon uninstallation, all store parameters, database rows, and sessions are immediately flagged for deletion.
  • GDPR Webhooks: We fully support Shopify's mandatory GDPR compliance endpoints: SHOP_REDACT, CUSTOMERS_REDACT, and CUSTOMERS_DATA_REQUEST.

6. Retention & Uninstallation

When you uninstall Sectionly, we cleanly remove all traces of premium sections from your theme.

Within 48 hours of uninstallation, our system triggers an automated database deletion that permanently erases your shop session, subscription history, metadata, and configurations.

7. Data Security

Your store credentials and technical data are protected using state-of-the-art encryption protocols (AES-256 and SSL/TLS) both in transit and at rest. Access to backend databases is strictly restricted to senior developers and monitored in real-time.
